Hi! My name is Ms. Tressa and I am so happy to be a part of the team here at Cody Elementary. And in addition, I am so excited to be your child’s pre-school teacher this year. We are going to have a year filled with lots of learning and lots of fun. I cannot wait to get started! I want to get to know all about each one of you, but first I will tell you a few things about me.
I was born in California and moved multiple times to different states as part of a military family. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister, as well as a fish, a large collection of plants, and a dog. I have been in Nebraska for most of the past thirteen years. I went to college at a small school in Iowa where I majored in Elementary Education, Special education, Early Childhood Education, and Reading. When I graduated, I could not wait to start teaching! Before joining the Millard team, I had the opportunity to teach briefly in Washington state, as well as in the Papillion-LaVista School District. I have recently finished my Masters's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) at Doane College. This will be my 10th year working at Cody.
